Cache of a Woman
A witness poem by Josef Hammer. A fall measured across a sill, a hairline opening at the arris, and a sleeping bag that covers the shoes.
My hands mark the fall across the sill.3 mm in a metre; water runs there.I tap the lintel; a hairline opens at the arris. At mid-span the shutter sags a thumb's width. This sleeping bag covers the shoes. That's all.
